Dr. Rahaf Orabi
Rahaf Orabi is an architect specializing in Digital Cultural Heritage. She holds a Master’s degree in Architectural Design, a second Master’s degree in Digital Cultural Heritage, and a Ph.D. in History (Summa Cum Laude). During her doctoral studies, she led a large-scale 3D documentation project in the Old City of Aleppo, aiming to digitally reconstruct the historic urban fabric of the area.
In 2022, Rahaf joined the Andreas Pittas Art Characterization Laboratories (APAC Labs) at the Cyprus Institute as a research technical scientist. Her work focuses on the digitization of heritage assets, encompassing documentation, analysis, visualization, and the dissemination of cultural heritage at risk.
Rahaf has participated in numerous international and European projects, including 3D4CH, GRAPHIA, ECHOES, Atrium, 4CH, IPERION-HS, and Project ANQA. She co-edited the book titled “Reviving Aleppo: Urban, Legal and Digital Approaches for Post-War Recovery” and has various publications in renowned peer-reviewed journal.
